Pijar Foundation is a non-profit organization advancing systems innovation across education and future talent, sustainable food systems, and public health and nutrition in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Working at the intersection of public policy, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration, we design, test, and scale evidence-based solutions through research, technical assistance, capacity building, and ecosystem convening to strengthen institutions and improve lives.

Since its establishment in 2021, Pijar Foundation has reached more than 120,000 beneficiaries across six Southeast Asian countries, including 30 cities and regencies in Indonesia through partnerships with over 300 national and global organizations.

Role Summary

Supports the CEO in expanding Pijar Foundation's strategic partnerships and institutional growth by leading partnership development, identifying new collaboration opportunities, managing selected external engagements, and guiding the Strategic Partnerships Analyst to ensure high-quality execution across the partnership pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Partnership Strategy & Business Development. Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities across government, philanthropy, multilateral organizations, academia, and the private sector. Develop partnership strategies, engagement plans, and value propositions aligned with Pijar Foundation's priorities.
  2. Partnership Development & Relationship Management. Lead partnerships from initial engagement through proposal development and negotiation. Build and maintain relationships through proactive outreach, follow-up, opportunity tracking, and strategic engagement.
  3. Executive Representation & Stakeholder Engagement. Represent the CEO in selected meetings and external engagements. Facilitate stakeholder consultations, coordinate follow-up actions, and ensure relationship continuity while escalating strategic matters when required.
  4. Partnership Strategy & Proposal Development. Oversee the preparation of concept notes, proposals, partnership frameworks, presentations, briefing papers, and other strategic documents, ensuring all outputs are evidence-based and aligned with partner priorities.
  5. Team Leadership & Partnership Operations. Coach and provide technical guidance to the Strategic Partnerships Analyst. Oversee the partnership pipeline, monitor key opportunities and deliverables, and strengthen partnership tracking, knowledge management, and reporting.

Job requirements

  1. Master's degree (S2) in International Relations, Public Policy, Business, Economics, Communications, or a related field 
  2. 5–8 years of professional experience in strategic partnerships, business development, consulting, public policy, external affairs, or a related strategic role 
  3. Demonstrated ability to identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships across government, philanthropy, multilateral organizations, academia, and the private sector 
  4. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable partnership strategies 
  5. Demonstrated expertise in partnership strategy and opportunity development, including translating complex ideas into compelling proposals, pitch decks, concept notes, and executive materials that effectively position opportunities and secure strategic partnerships 
  6. Proven ability to represent senior leadership, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and mentor or guide junior team members 
  7. Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance competing tasks and present high-quality presentations within established timelines 
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
