Job description
- Conduct in-depth research on emerging policy issues in Future Planet & Future Talent areas
- Draft policy recommend., position papers & white papers based on evidence and stakeholder input
- Analyze local & global policy trends to identify opportunities for intervention
- Engage with policymakers, government, etc to advocate for policy initiatives
- Coordinate & facilitate dialogues, discussions,etc to build consensus around key policy recommendations
- Develop strategic partnerships amplify influence
- Manage policy-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of outputs
- Collaborate across internal teams to ensure that policy recommendations align with org objs
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of policy initiatives & provide feedback for continous improvement
- Prepare policy presentations for in & ex stakeholders
- Represent Pijar Foundation at national & international forums, conferences, etc
- Contribute to thought leadership through published articles, blogs & reports
- Respond to urgent policy dev by quickly analyzing and drafting actionable recommendations
- Work closely with the communications team to ensure that timely policy statements are issued
Job requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in a public policy advocacy/government relations role
- Self-starter and pro-active
- Strong English fluency (both written and spoken)
- Strong skills in networking and strategic engagements
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively, with both internal and external stakeholders
- (Preferred, but not compulsory) A Master’s degree from a reputable overseas university
