Job description

The Preschool Principal at Stella Maris International Education is responsible for leading the preschool division by ensuring a high standard of early childhood education. This role involves overseeing curriculum implementation, managing teachers and staff, ensuring child development goals are met, and maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment. The Preschool Principal will collaborate with parents, teachers, and school management to create a stimulating and supportive educational experience for young learners.

Job requirements

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the preschool division, including curriculum planning, teacher development, and daily operations.
  • Ensure that teaching methods and programs align with international early childhood education standards.
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment for young children.
  • Supervise and mentor teachers to maintain high-quality instruction and professional development.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing concerns effectively.
  • Oversee student assessments and ensure that developmental milestones are met.
  • Ensure compliance with educational regulations, school policies, and health & safety standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the preschool's reputation and enrollment growth.
  • Work closely with school leadership to align preschool programs with the institution’s vision and goals.

Benefits

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 3 years in a leadership or administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education principles, curriculum development, and child psychology.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children.
  • Experience in teacher training, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Proficient in administrative management, including budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with educational regulations.
  • Familiarity with technology in education (Google Classroom, digital learning tools, etc.).
  • Passionate about early childhood education and committed to excellence in preschool leadership.
