- Follow industry-related news and trends to generate ideas around trending topics
- Collect data on consumers, competitors, and market place and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations
- Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences
- Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis
- Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties research and implement best practices
- Work with data analysts to translate consumer data into functional and accessible information that can help us change or revise a product, service, marketing strategy, or sales tactic
- Develop strong client and vendor relationships to deliver consumer information that has a direct effect on our business goals and ROI
Job requirements
- Strong analytical and critical thinking
- Mixed method researchers with at least 4 years of experience in market research, either in-house or research agency
- Able to design, execute, and analyze the research project from start to finish independently with minimum supervision
- Excellent knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, SAS or similar), databases and MS Office
- Familiarity with CRM programs
- Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc)
- Ability to simplify complex information into a user-friendly format
- Ability to comprehend and interpret competitor strategies and consumer behavior
- Ability to gather large amounts of data and convert it into meaningful analysis
