Job description
Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate patterns based on design sketches, technical drawings, and product specifications.
- Create initial patterns for sample development and bulk production.
- Analyze garment construction and recommend pattern adjustments to achieve the desired fit and silhouette.
- Collaborate closely with the Design, Product Development, and Production teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Revise and modify patterns based on fitting sessions, comments, and production requirements.
- Prepare pattern grading according to company size specifications.
- Ensure all patterns meet quality standards, measurement specifications, and construction requirements.
- Conduct fit evaluations and provide technical solutions for fitting issues.
- Maintain pattern documentation, technical files, and measurement records accurately.
- Support sample development and production processes to ensure timely completion.
- Continuously improve pattern efficiency to optimize fabric consumption and production costs.
- Stay updated on garment construction techniques, pattern-making methods, and industry trends.
Job requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, Garment Production, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Pattern Maker in the fashion, apparel, or garment industry.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern development, grading, and fitting techniques.
- Proficient in manual pattern making and/or computerized pattern-making.
- Ability to interpret design sketches, technical packs, and product specifications accurately.
- Strong knowledge of fabric characteristics and their impact on garment fit and construction.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with women's fashion products is an advantage.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
