SALES EXECUTIVE (MICE Specialist)

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Identify and target potential MICE clients (corporate, government, EO, community groups).
  • Actively conduct sales calls, client visits, presentations, and networking.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and banquet event orders (BEO).
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Develop corporate account databases and maintain client pipelines.
  • Upsell F&B packages, add-ons, and customized event solutions.


2. Event Planning & Coordination

  • Conduct site inspections and explain restaurant facilities and event packages.
  • Coordinate event requirements with kitchen, operations, and service teams.
  • Ensure event setups align with client expectations (layout, AV needs, menu, timing).
  • Attend events when necessary to ensure smooth execution.
  • Handle last-minute adjustments professionally.


3. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with repeat corporate clients.
  • Provide after-sales service and follow-up feedback.
  • Build long-term partnerships for recurring events.
  • Address complaints or service issues promptly and professionally.


4. Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor competitors’ MICE offerings and pricing strategies.
  • Identify trends in corporate events and social gatherings.
  • Provide sales forecasts and reports to management.
  • Suggest new packages or promotional strategies to increase bookings.

5. Administration & Reporting

  • Update CRM or sales tracking systems regularly.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Coordinate invoicing, deposit tracking, and payment follow-up with finance.
  • Maintain proper documentation of contracts and agreements.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Monthly MICE revenue target achievement
  • Number of new corporate accounts acquired
  • Event conversion rate (inquiry to confirmed booking)
  • Client retention rate
  • Average event value
  • Customer satisfaction score


Job requirements

Requirements & Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Hospitality background preferred (especially F&B or events).


Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience in:
  • Restaurant MICE
  • Hotel banquet sales
  • Event organizer
  • Corporate sales (F&B industry preferred)
  • Strong understanding of banquet/event operation


Technical Skills

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience using CRM systems is a plus.
  • Good understanding of event costing and profit margins.
  • Basic knowledge of banquet setup and F&B service flow.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
