Job description

Budgeting & Forecasting:

-Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, providing detailed forecasts and cost projections for all departments.

-Ensure all departmental budgets align with hotel goals and financial targets.

Cost Monitoring & Analysis:

-Regularly track costs in various departments (e.g., food and beverage, housekeeping, maintenance) to ensure they are within budget.

-Analyze the cost of goods sold (COGS) and operating expenses, identifying areas for improvement.

Reporting:

-Prepare regular cost control reports (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly), highlighting variances, inefficiencies, and areas that require corrective action.

-Report discrepancies in actual vs. budgeted costs to management, suggesting possible solutions.

Inventory Management:

-Oversee stock control, ensuring that inventory levels are optimized and that items are used efficiently.

-Conduct regular stock audits and monitor the accuracy of stock records

Compliance & Audit:

-Ensure all cost control practices comply with hotel policies, local regulations, and industry standards.


Job requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in cost control or financial management within the hotel industry is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Excel, accounting software).
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and cost control techniques.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
