Job description

Legal Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and maintain various legal documents, including: Commercial agreements; Vendor and service agreements; Partnership agreements; Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs); Employment-related agreements; Cooperative legal documents
  • Support contract negotiations and coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in providing legal advice and support to internal stakeholders regarding day-to-day business activities and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct legal research and assist in preparing legal opinions, legal memoranda, and regulatory analyses.
  • Identify and assess legal risks arising from business activities and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Manage legal documentation and ensure the proper maintenance of legal, corporate, and cooperative records.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel, notaries, regulators, and government authorities when necessary.

Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to: Regulations issued by the Ministry of Cooperatives (Kementerian Koperasi Republik Indonesia); Consumer protection regulations; Personal Data Protection (PDP) regulations; Cooperative governance requirements
  • Assist in maintaining the cooperative’s compliance framework, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and gap assessments against applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and coordinate regulatory reports, submissions, and responses to inquiries from regulators.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and communicate relevant updates to management and business units.
  • Support internal compliance monitoring activities and follow up on identified findings and required corrective actions.
  • Provide compliance advisory support for new initiatives, partnerships, products, and operational changes.
  • Cooperative Governance Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of Good Cooperative Governance (GCG) principles.
  • Assist in preparing Management (Pengurus) meeting materials, minutes of meetings, Management resolutions, Supervisory Board (Pengawas) documentation, and other cooperative governance documents.
  • Support the preparation and implementation of Annual Member Meetings (Rapat Anggota Tahunan/RAT) and other Member Meetings, where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with the cooperative’s Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART), internal governance policies, Management and Member Meeting resolutions, and applicable laws and regulations.

Job requirements

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (S.H. or equivalent).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Secretary, or related functions.
  • Experience in cooperatives, financial services, fintech, or other regulated organizations is preferred.
  • Experience dealing with the Ministry of Cooperatives (Kementerian Koperasi Republik Indonesia) or other government authorities is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of Indonesian corporate law, contract law, and cooperative regulations.
  • Familiarity with the Cooperative Law (UU Perkoperasian) and regulations issued by the Ministry of Cooperatives.
  • Knowledge of Personal Data Protection (PDP) regulations.
  • Strong legal drafting and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
