Job description
- Develop short-term, mid-term, and long-term mine plans and schedules
- Design pit layouts, haul roads, and drilling & blasting patterns
- Perform pit optimization and mine sequencing to maximize resource recovery
- Monitor daily production and ensure alignment with planning targets
- Analyze operational data and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with geologists to integrate geological models into mine plans
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in mine planning or operations (Fresh graduates may be considered for entry-level roles)
- Proficient in mine planning software such as Surpac, MineScape, Vulcan, or similar
- Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis tools
- Good understanding of open-pit or underground mining operations and workflows
