Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor and analyze security events and alerts from various sources (SIEM, intrusion detection systems, firewalls).
Risk Assessment: Develop and maintain risk assessment reports and documentation.
Policy Development: Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
Incident Response: Document incidents and provide analysis to improve future response efforts.
Security Solutions: Evaluate, deploy, and manage security solutions such as antivirus software, firewalls, and encryption tools.
User Awareness and Training: Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote safe computing practices and risk awareness.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of security incidents, assessments, and responses.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in information security, IT security, or a related field.
Strong understanding of network security protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.
Familiarity with security compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to convey security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
