Overview:
The Senior Construction Manager leads all construction disciplines across the project, ensuring coordination, schedule compliance, and adherence to HSE and quality standards. This role oversees multiple Construction Managers and interfaces closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Controls to drive progress and resolve field issues. The position requires a strategic leader experienced in managing complex, large-scale EPC or mining projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate all area Construction Managers and site teams.
• Oversee project execution to ensure compliance with schedule, cost, and quality targets.
• Ensure HSE, QA/QC, and operational standards are rigorously applied on-site.
• Manage field engineering coordination and technical query resolution.
• Review contractor performance and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Support commissioning readiness and turnover planning.
• Chair construction coordination meetings and interface with project leadership.
• Lead and mentor junior managers and supervisors to build site capability.
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience leading large multidisciplinary EPC or mining projects.
• Proven leadership across mechanical, civil, electrical, and structural disciplines.
• In-depth understanding of HSE, QA/QC, and construction management systems.
• Strong planning and coordination abilities with analytical decision-making skills.
• Excellent stakeholder and contractor management experience.
• Skilled in Primavera or MS Project for progress monitoring.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring capability.
