Overview:
The Construction Manager – TSF leads all aspects of Tailings Storage Facility construction, ensuring geotechnical integrity, environmental compliance, and safe work execution. The role coordinates design consultants, QA/QC teams, and contractors to deliver TSF structures meeting all regulatory and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and supervise TSF construction activities including earthworks, liner installation, and drainage.
• Monitor progress, cost, and resource allocation for the TSF area.
• Oversee quality control, compaction testing, and geotechnical stability monitoring.
• Ensure environmental compliance and implement mitigation measures as required.
• Interface with engineering consultants on design changes or improvements.
• Review contractor method statements and work plans.
• Coordinate with HSE, QA/QC, and logistics to ensure safe execution.
• Prepare and submit construction progress reports.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in TSF, dam, or heavy earthworks projects.
• Proven expertise in geotechnical monitoring and earthworks construction.
• Solid understanding of drainage systems and liner installation processes.
• Strong leadership and contractor management experience.
• Familiar with environmental management systems and standards.
• Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
• Ability to work in remote site conditions with diverse teams.
