Construction Manager – Process Plant

Overview:

The Construction Manager – Process Plant manages the full construction of the process plant area, including mechanical, piping, and structural works. The role ensures safe and efficient progress in line with design intent, cost targets, and commissioning readiness. This position requires a mechanical or process engineer with proven site experience in EPC projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee mechanical, piping, and structural construction for the process plant.

• Validate and monitor contractor schedules, progress claims, and quality reports.

• Coordinate engineering deliverables, design changes, and technical queries.

• Manage field supervision teams to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.

• Conduct safety inspections and enforce permit-to-work compliance.

• Ensure mechanical completion and turnover documentation readiness.

• Support commissioning and pre-startup testing.

• Liaise with procurement and logistics for material availability and delivery.

Job requirements

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering.

• Minimum 10 years’ EPC construction experience, preferably in process plant environments.

• Strong technical understanding of piping, structural, and mechanical systems.

• Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and field execution teams.

• Sound knowledge of QA/QC, HSE, and mechanical completion standards.

• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera for scheduling and reporting.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in commissioning support is highly desirable.
