Job description
The Gardener responsibilities in plans, schedules, assigns, and participates in the work of a gardening engaged in: mowing, edging, watering, raking, reseeding, fertilizing, spraying and weeding lawns and turf; Planting, pruning and shaping, trimming, staking, cultivating, fertilizing, spraying, weeding, transplanting, and watering tree and shrub.
Job requirements
• A High school diploma or GED is required
• A certification in a horticulture or landscaping would be preferred
• Strong attention to detail required
• Understanding of horticulture methods and materials, landscaping, and tree and woody plant cultivation.
• Ability to handle manual and power tools relevant to the job.
• Capability to conduct grounds-keeping duties.
• Ability to analyze and complete landscape plans.
• Fertilizer and/or pesticide application knowledge.
