Develop and integrate complete vehicle designs into accurate 3D models, 2D technical drawings, and actual vehicle applications
Create engineering drawings, installation layouts, and wire harness routing based on design specifications and production requirements
Prepare technical calculations, define material specifications, and determine suitable manufacturing methods to support production
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve design issues and ensure timely implementation of design improvements
Evaluate drawings, components, and vehicle conditions to identify design discrepancies and implement necessary engineering changes
Maintain and standardize engineering design requirements, including material specifications, torque standards, critical characteristics, and lessons learned to improve design quality
Proactively identify potential design issues during the drawing process and recommend effective engineering solutions to minimize production risks
Job requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Proficient in using SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assembly, and technical drawing
Strong understanding of wire harness routing, component fitting, and vehicle component integration
Experienced in creating 2D and 3D engineering drawings, including installation drawings for wire harness routing
Capable of developing and assembling mechanical and electrical components, such as wires, hoses, plastic parts, sheet metal, castings, and other automotive components
Able to analyze and resolve design- and drawing-related issues with attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
Fast learner, proactive, open-minded, and able to work well in a team environment
