Job Summary

Support the Strategy Team by collecting field data and delivering structured insights for strategic projects. Responsibilities include market sizing, customer surveys, store audits, market benchmarking, and field research to support business decision-making.


Job Description

1. Field Research & Data Collection (Primary Responsibility)

  • Conduct store visits and structured mystery shopping audits to evaluate barista SOP compliance, including customer greetings, beverage preparation, speed of service, cleanliness, and overall customer experience using standardized checklists.
  • Perform store audits to benchmark service quality, operations, pricing, and customer experience.
  • Visit store locations to map store footprints, surrounding tenants, mall positioning, foot traffic patterns, and catchment characteristics.
  • Conduct customer intercept surveys and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Capture photo documentation during field visits to support analysis and maintain audit records.

2. Market & Competitive Research

  • Collect market pricing, promotional mechanics, menu offerings, and limited-time offers (LTOs).
  • Gather data required for market sizing, including store counts, traffic proxies, and catchment demographics.
  • Support ad hoc field research projects assigned by the Strategy Team.

3. Reporting & Data Management

  • Prepare clear and structured field visit reports after each research session.
  • Organize, clean, and tabulate collected data using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Summarize key observations and actionable insights for the Strategy Team.


Job requirements

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (S1) in Business, Economics, Marketing, Management, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates and final-year students are welcome to apply.
  • Willing to spend approximately 3–4 days per week conducting field research and store visits.
  • Strong observational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to produce clear, structured, and concise field reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills for conducting customer surveys and interacting professionally in the field.
  • Comfortable approaching strangers while maintaining a professional demeanor in public spaces.
  • Data analysis and data visualization skills are a plus.
  • Experience in mystery shopping, market research, or field surveys is an advantage, but not required.
