Job description
- Work in a fast-paced, collaborative production environment, ensuring the final image quality meets artistic and technical standards.
- Create materials, lighting, and renders for animated and/or VFX shots.
- Collaborate with Compositing, FX, and Asset teams for seamless integration and continuity.
- Troubleshoot and optimize scenes for efficient rendering and performance.
- Contribute to the show’s visual mood and storytelling through light, color, and composition.
Job requirements
- Strong skills in shading, lighting, and rendering using Maya or similar 3D software.
- Experience with Renderman, Arnold, or equivalent render engines.
- Solid understanding of composition, color theory, light behavior, and render optimization.
- Familiarity with AOV setup, texturing, and material workflow.
- Team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to handle feedback and deadlines well.
Plus Points:
- Experience with Katana, Nuke, Gaffer, or Houdini.
- Knowledge of color management / ACES, Python scripting, or real-time engines (Unreal, Unity).
Portfolio Requirements:
- Include turntables or surfacing breakdowns, and a lighting reel (with before/after if available).
- Provide a clear online portfolio link (Vimeo, website, etc.) with proper labeling and professional presentation.
