Minimum 4–6 years of professional experience in asset look development for VFX, animation, or film productions.
Expert knowledge of look development, shader creation, physically based materials, and rendering workflows for production environments.
Strong proficiency in V-Ray, Chaos Solaris, or equivalent rendering technologies, with a solid understanding of modern rendering pipelines.
Extensive experience with Houdini Solaris for look development, lighting, and USD-based workflows.
Strong understanding of texturing workflows, shader optimization, AOV management, ACES color management, and physically based rendering principles.
Solid knowledge of USD workflows and production pipelines, with experience collaborating across Modeling, Lighting, FX, and Compositing departments.
Experience with scripting or pipeline development (e.g., Python) to improve workflow efficiency is a strong plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize rendering performance, shader efficiency, and pipeline integration.
Experience leading, mentoring, or reviewing the work of Lookdev or Asset artists in a production environment is a plus.
