Hostess / Host - Apéritif Restaurant

Apéritif Restaurant - A prestigious fine dining establishment in Ubud is seeking a passionate, polished, and professional Fine Dining Hostess to join our elite guest service team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all reservations via the booking system, telephone, email and walk-ins, maintaining accurate guest records.
• Greet and welcome every guest on arrival, escort to table and present menus in line with Apéritif service standards.
• Control table plan and seating flow to protect both cover turnover and guest experience.
• Communicate VIP, allergy, dietary and special occasion information to the floor and kitchen teams before each service.
• Handle guest enquiries, waiting lists and cancellations promptly and professionally.
• Maintain the host stand, menus and restaurant entrance to presentation standard at all times.
• Support the collection of guest feedback and escalate any complaint to management immediately.
• Prepare daily reservation reports and cover counts for the pre-service briefing.
• Farewell every guest on departure and ensure a consistent final impression.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a guest-facing role in fine dining restaurant or 5-star luxury hotel environment; hostess experienced preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and written skills in English with a confident telephone manner; additional foreign languages are an advantage.
• Working knowledge of a restaurant reservation system an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, able to manage the table plan and multiple enquiries calmly under pressure.
• Well groomed, warm and outgoing, with a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Basic computer literacy and accurate record keeping.
