Job description


    Summary of Position

    The Center for Student Development and Leadership contribute to the institution's mission and ensures that students continue studying and successfully graduate by actively working with school academic and administrative departments in creating a vibrant sense of belongingness and providing and enriching learning experience through an inclusive and supportive environment. The head is directly responsible for the implementation of the center mandate. The position is a member of administrative council and expected to perform management functions.


    Duties, Functions and Responsibilities


    1. Create programs and establish partnerships to improve capacity of students to overcome financial challenges through opportunities and access to scholarships and loans
    2. Design and implement programs to improve overall sense of community and purpose among the students through school events, student organizations and outreach activities among others
    3. Improve capacity of students to cope and overcome their personal challenges through counselling and guidance programs
    4. Develop programs so student leaders are formed to help their fellow students to stay in school and complete their education as well as to be productive agents of nation building
    5. Act as Chief Judicial Officer who will hear, adjudicate and follow up all cases of student discipline
    6. Support students for external competitions in all levels - local, regional, national or international level
    7. Assist and coordinate programs for career placement and alumni relations. This includes various activities like regular tracer studies, maintaining updated alumni database, job placements, among others.
    8. Perform other inherent duties assigned by the COO from time to time

Job requirements

  • ​Has experience and training of at least 3 years on student services specifically in  the field  of student development  and leadership  in a tertiary campus
  • At least  S1 graduate  in behavioral science or related course
  • Demonstrated skill in working with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in administering campus judicial programs.
  • Must have knowledge of student development theory and organization development; knowledge of legal alternatives related to students' rights and responsibilities; an understanding and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and economic diversity of students and the community; the ability to administer student judicial programs; and a thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of college student affairs.
  • Must have knowledge of fiscal management principles and practices.
  • Must have the ability to teach, direct, guide and mediate
  • Must have  counseling skills for a wide range of student and staff concerns;
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be proficient  In MS Office -  word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint
  • Comfortable in using email and different social media platforms for communication
  • Possesses good oral and written  communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Displays good coordination and project management skills
  • Possesses  analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
