Test Engineer Intern

About the Role

As a Test Engineer Intern, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products before they reach users. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to understand feature requirements, identify potential risks, and validate that each release meets high-quality standards.

This internship is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, curious about how systems work, and excited to build a strong foundation in software quality engineering within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You'll Do:

1. Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and technical specs.
2. Build and maintain automated test suites using scripting languages and modern test frameworks.
3. Identify, document, and track bugs or anomalies using issue tracking tools.
4. Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to understand feature scope and edge cases.
5. Perform thorough regression testing, smoke testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) before production releases.
6. Actively contribute to improving QA processes and testing standards across teams.
7. Support performance, security, and exploratory testing efforts as needed.

What You'll Need:

1. Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
2. Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes
3. Familiar with at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and basic exposure to automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
4. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify edge cases, break down requirements, and think critically about potential failures.
5. Able to clearly document bugs, reproduce issues, and communicate findings in a structured manner.
6. Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and designers in a fast-paced environment.
7. Proactive, curious, and eager to learn new tools/technologies with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
