Job description
- Oversee day-to-day data center operations to ensure 24/7 uptime and reliability, keep up with emerging technologies, and plan capacity expansion and scalability based on business needs.
- Manage power, cooling, fire suppression, and other critical infrastructure systems, and implement and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Lead the facility team (Facility SMEs, Facility Supervisors, Shift Leads, and Shift Engineers), including succession planning, in-house training, and maintaining relevant maintenance certifications such as CDCP and CDFOM.
- Coordinate and monitor vendors and contractors for equipment servicing and upgrades, ensuring scheduled services are performed on time, work follows approved MOPs, and SLA commitments are met.
- Prepare and manage the facility budget, including forecasting and cost control. Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities, including PUE improvement, without compromising reliability or security.
- Lead safety protocols, emergency response planning, and disaster recovery procedures, including emergency drills (PTW, fire, bomb threat) and Emergency Response Team readiness.
- Maintain and update SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs, and oversee timely reporting (Permit to Work, MOP, Internal Incident Reports, budget expenditure). Conduct regular audits and risk assessments, ensure compliance with regulations and certifications, and recommend infrastructure improvements.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in facility management or building operations, preferably in data centers or industrial sites, including proven experience leading teams, managing budgets, and handling vendor relationships.
- Strong knowledge of building and critical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) and familiarity with data center standards.
- Proficiency in facility management software (e.g., CMMS), and skills in project management for renovations or infrastructure upgrades, as well as budgeting and financial planning.
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations. Preferred certifications: CDCP, CDFOS, CDFOM, AOS, Ahli K3 Listrik, Ahli K3 Umum, and ITIL Foundation.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a 24/7 environment and respond to emergencies.
