About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage, maintain, monitor, and improve the organisation's IT infrastructure and technology environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of network, server, cloud, endpoint, and other IT infrastructure services. The role will also provide technical support, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, conduct security assessments, and contribute to IT infrastructure improvement projects.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, service-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure Management

• Manage and maintain the organisation's IT infrastructure, including:
• Servers and virtual machines
• Network infrastructure
• Firewalls and security appliances
• Switches and routers
• Wireless networks and access points
• Storage and backup systems
• End-user computing infrastructure
• Cloud infrastructure and services
• Ensure infrastructure systems are reliable, available, and properly maintained.
• Perform regular infrastructure health checks and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure configuration, systems, and network architecture.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Performance may be measured against:

• Infrastructure availability and reliability.
• Network and system performance.
• Response and resolution time for infrastructure incidents.
• Backup success rate and recovery readiness.
• Security patch and vulnerability remediation status.
• Infrastructure monitoring and alert management.
• Accuracy and completeness of technical documentation.
• Successful implementation of infrastructure projects.
• Reduction of recurring infrastructure incidents.
• Compliance with IT security and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, network engineering, system administration, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with network administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience administering Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts.
• Understanding of cybersecurity and infrastructure security principles.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
