Housekeeping Manager

Job description

  • Manage and supervise daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor room cleanliness, public areas, and laundry operations according to hotel standards
  • Train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping staff performance
  • Prepare work schedules and manage manpower effectively
  • Ensure proper usage and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations
  • Handle guest complaints and special requests professionally
  • Maintain inventory control and housekeeping budget efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and company policies
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in housekeeping operations, including supervisory or managerial experience
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and sanitation regulations
  • Experience in hotel operations is highly preferred
  • Good leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management systems
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
