Legal Department Head

• Holding a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Master of Laws (LLM) from a reputable law school
• Prior working experience in a reputable law firm or a property investment/development/asset management company
• Strong expertise in joint venture agreement, share sale and purchase agreement, land purchase agreement, and tenancy agreement
• Strong negotiation skills and hands-on drafting skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with colleagues and senior management from different divisions

Project-Level Legal Support

• Review and negotiate various contracts and agreements, including but not limited to NDA, land acquisition, joint venture formation, engagement of contractor, tenant leasing, and sale of share/property.
• Prepare a template of contracts and agreements which are important (and repetitive) for real estate development projects such as land purchase agreement, tenancy agreement, share sale contract, etc.
• Coordinate with external legal counsels as representative of the company
• Monitor all permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals mainly done by partners and/or project SPV
• Manage legal due diligence for land acquisition and sale of share/property
• Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations relevant to real estate, construction, and investment, and provide timely updates

Company-level legal support

• Ensure the company adheres to legal standards and industry regulations
• Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
• Regularly review company practices and report on compliance status
• Maintain and safeguard all legal documents, company assets, and records related to corporate identity, licensing, and land ownership
