Education and Language
• Bachelor degree in development studies, forestry, economics, social sciences, or a related discipline with a proven track record of field work in conservation area.
• Master degree in development studies, forestry, economics, social sciences, or a related discipline.
• Good communication in English.
• Spoken ability in local language(s) is an advantage.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• Proven fieldwork experience minimum 2 years in a humanitarian conservation program in livelihoods or experience engaging with economic strengthening interventions.
• Excellent command of the most common methodologies to identify, assess and monitor livelihood activities, with proven record of achievements.
• Research-oriented outcome capacity.
• Strong technical reporting skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret data.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
• Proven people skills, especially of working in multi-cultural environments and with local ethnic groups.
• Ability to work in remote areas with limited supervision.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Good attention to detail, especially in data organisation and management.
• Experience working for West Papua conservation.
