Job description

Reporting to                : Community Facilitation Coordinator

Key Relationships    : West Kalimantan team

Job Purpose:

The Community Facilitation Officer, working in close day-to-day collaboration with the Ketapang/Kalimantan team Social and Biodiversity, the Community Facilitation Officer, West Kalimantan, will assist the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Community Based Forest Management.

Specific Duties:

  1. Implementing and Support the Development of Social Forestry programme in West Kalimantan
  2. Capacity building for village forest Institution in Social Forestry Programme

Financial Management

  1. With the support of the Ketapang Finance ensure the accuracy of Financial Management and compliance with internal financial policies and procedures
  2. Ensure timely and accurate technical, operational and financial donor and institutional reporting

Special Task:

  1. Support and implementation Social Forestry Programme, Develop KUPS, RKPS and Implementing conservation programme
  2. Conduct Livelihood Surveys: Participatory Wellbeing assessment, Participatory Mapping, Land Use Planning and HCV for Social and Culture
  3. Facilitate Meetings, Workshops and Training for Community
  4. Coordinating With DLHK, KPH and Private Sector for Social Forestry implementing

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and support social coordinator activities and programs under the coordination of the social coordinator
  2. Carry out cross-cutting activities at the West Kalimantan

Education and Language

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 3-years experiences in the community work
  •  Excellent spoken and written English

 

Skills, Knowledge and experience

  • High level partnership building, networking and collaboration across complex and global issues
  • Excellent facilitator and negotiator skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence at all levels
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, prioritisation and time management skills

  • Familiar with Social Forestry Mechanism
  • Familiar with Community Bussiness Group
